The application requires basic contact information as proof of residency and attendance to a public high school within Allegany County. If you are under 18, contact information for a parent or guardian is required for consideration.

Create a short slide or video presentation describing your Changemaker activities and efforts that address how you envision a better world and work to create change in your community. This presentation is shared as a link in the application for review by the Scholarship Committee.

Another objective of this scholarship is to educate about the power of the 9th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. The 9th Amendment guarantees that we have rights that are not enumerated in the Constitution. These rights belong directly to the people and can be used as a tool for change. A short response to this topic is required for consideration of the scholarship award.

Each applicant is required to have a Letter of Support as part of the Changemaker Scholarship application. Choose an individual from outside of your immediate family who is familiar with your Changemaker activities and is willing to attest as a reference of support.

Have all your materials ready and submit your application no later than March 16, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST. Late applications will not be accepted.
